To a busy family with three younger children, the building of a new home was daunting. Design decisions, materials selections, and coordination with the contractor all seemed overwhelming. Liz Murphy Design acted as their advocate, evaluating and modifying the builder’s design of the home, guiding them though each step of the process leading to the final occupancy. Project timelines were developed, materials and finish selections were made, and attendance at construction meetings with the builder and the subcontractors, all fell within the responsibilities of Liz Murphy Design. The most satisfying element of the project was the reaction of the homeowners after moving in and the friendship that resulted.
